One thing we said we would never make here at Truffle Junkies headquarters were COOKIES.


Yes, cookies can be delicious and fulfilling at the right moment, but it just never seemed to fit with our overall goals. There was nothing to really get excited about with cookies.

Well, once again, our own innovative ideas knocked us on our butts.

When just fooling around with some different ideas in the test kitchens one day, we happened upon a ‘cookie’ that completely floored us.

But, this was something different. Not really a cookie. Not really candy. It floats somewhere in between. Around here, we like to think of it as an ‘advanced cookie,’ a cookie for adults.

There’s no flour, shortbread, cookie dough, etc. The base of the cookie is a dark honey caramel that is not overly sweet.

This is magically blended with a mixture of different nuts and candied or dried fruits, and finally brushed with dark bittersweet chocolate.

The result is something complex, something satisfying yet not filling, something advanced, something evolutionary.

Of course we never get overly excited until we get the product into the hands (and mouths) of as many people as we can.

Let’s just say, we are now REALLY excited. It seems that our EVO cookie was just what people were looking for.

Almond Chocolate Cookies - Evolution of the Cookie Series, Truffle Junkies
This is the one that started it all. It’s simple, yet unbelievable complex and full-flavored. The dark honey is paired well with candied orange peel, citron, and toasted almonds.

The whole thing is brushed with 70% dark bittersweet chocolate, bringing the whole package together.
We admit it. We cheated on this one. We took a cue from our original MC Chocolate Bar and decided to use a mixture of almonds, dried tart cranberries, dried Michigan cherries, and dark cocoa nibs in our honey caramel. Hey, this is a perfect combo. Can you really blame us?

A modified version of our hot new MC Bar, this one’s got dried apples, almonds, cacao nibs, candied lemon, & dried cranberries. Yum.
  The rich flavor of the toasted hazelnuts is a perfect match to the sweet tart flavor of candied orange peel and dark honey.
Pistachio Zing Evo Cookies Series
  
A delightful, bright version of our original with pistachios, candied lemon peel & crystallized ginger. Very complex flavor profile.
